How it works

MagTag operates without batteries or active electronics. Instead, it uses arrays of micromachined magnetostrictive resonators that vibrate at unique, precisely tuned frequencies when exposed to an externally applied magnetic field. These resonant signals are wirelessly detected by a nearby reader system, enabling:
Unique Identification
Each tag emits a complex frequency signature that is extremely difficult to counterfeit or replicate.
Environmental Sensing
Changes in frequency and amplitude can indicate variations in environmental conditions such as gas presence (e.g., hydrogen, H₂S), temperature, or pressure.
