What is high-precision indoor asset tracking?
It is a real-time location system (RTLS) that pinpoints assets to within a meter or better, indoors, where GPS does not work. Rather than telling you an item was last seen in a zone, it shows live position on a map so you can walk straight to it.
How it works
Small tags on your assets communicate with fixed anchors mounted around the facility. Using ultra-wideband (UWB), the system measures the time signals take to travel between tag and anchors and triangulates an exact position in real time.
Precise location vs zone-based tracking
Not every use case needs centimeters. If you only need to know which area an asset is in, zone-based tracking is simpler and cheaper. High-precision tracking is for when exact coordinates matter: dense environments, safety zones, or finding a specific item fast among many.

How accurate is indoor asset tracking?
With UWB, typically 10 to 30 centimeters. RFID and Bluetooth are coarser and better suited to identification and room-level proximity than exact position.
